AI competence levels and badges
The test sets your competence level. Company badges may require additional verification by imprv.ai. Every badge can be downloaded and shared on LinkedIn, a website or in your materials.
Individual result
5 AI competence levels
The test result is a score from 0 to 100, based on how you use AI in work situations.
Score 0–20
Observer
Knows the basic capabilities of AI but is only starting to use them at work. Recognises tasks where AI can help and is learning how to apply it.
Score 21–40
Explorer
Uses AI for simple, specific tasks. Can write prompts and use the answers, although choosing tools and judging the results still take practice.
Score 41–60
Practitioner
AI is part of everyday work. Chooses solutions for specific tasks, refines prompts and checks the results before using them.
Score 61–80
Builder
Uses AI to improve whole processes, not just single tasks. Can combine tools, design automations and judge how useful they are in practice.
Score 81–100
Ambassador
Designs advanced uses of AI on their own and evaluates how well they work. Shares knowledge, supports others with implementation and expands the use of AI in the organisation.
Company badges
AI competence in the organisation
Employees’ results set the team’s AI competence level against other companies. The badges show participation and the level of AI use.
From 3 people
Ranked company
Confirms the company’s place in the AI competence ranking. The company’s result comes from the test results of its team.
Average score from 41
AI practitioner team
Confirms the employees’ AI competence level, based on their test results. It also requires at least 10 people and a company test result of at least 41.
Average score from 61
AI leader
Confirms the level of AI use in the organisation. It also requires at least 10 people, including at least one at the Ambassador level, and a company test result of at least 61.
imprv.ai verification
Badges confirmed by imprv.ai
Awarded for 12 months after training, a workshop or an audit. Each one has a number and a verification page showing who it was awarded to and when.

Trained team
Confirms the team’s participation in the AI Booster for employees programme. Each participant receives a personal development plan.
AI implementation
Completed audit
Confirms completion of AI Booster for your company, ending with a process map and a report on implementation priorities.
Advanced level
Safe AI
Confirms the safe use of AI in the organisation. It requires approved tools, rules for working with data, a risk assessment and an annual review.
